After an Irish coffee or two we headed to St. Stevens Green, past Trinity College, over the Ha'Penny bridge and through the Temple Bar area for a good introduction to what Dublin has to offer. Even after 6pm on a week night the place was buzing, people out in the park enjoying time after work or school and others out to sample the night life. Tomorrow it is off to Cork.

Destination Dublin
Well here we are having arrived after 20 hours of uneventful flying ( the best kind). Tiring but fortunately a pretty smooth ride. We did however get a surprise when we were presented with a 'Happy Travels' cake at the end of the first leg of the Emirates flight courtesy of Flight Centre. A lovely gesture but a little awkward - what does one do with a whole cake when they are soon to board another plane for a 7 hour flight?
Answer - ask the flight attendant to refrigerate the cake during the flight and then offer the cake to the hosts and fellow guests for afternoon tea when arriving at B&B accomodation. A nice and friendly introduction to our stay at Kilronan Guest House (pictured below).
