Mist rolling in from the sea ........... did quite often swallow the coastal scenery.............including The Mull of Kintyre.
In order - we first stopped at Bush Mills Distillery where we tried a dram of Irish Whiskey. Very smooth and warming.
Next stop The Giant's Causeway. 40,000 closely packed hexagonal basalt columns, some being constantly pounded by the sea, others available to be discovered, climbed on, sat on, walked on and of course photographed.
We left our mark with an Aussie 20 cent piece as thousands of others had done before us, although most did not leave Australian currency.
Next stop the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. A 20m long bridge of wire rope spanning the chasm between the sea cliffs and the little island of Carrick-a-Rede, 30m above the water below.
The journey back to Belfast certainly had many pockets of blue skies, like at Carrifergus Castle.

Oh that looks fantastic guys, what a beautiful place. Ireland does look like a place well worth seeing. Thank you for all the great photos.
