We then pretty much headed straight into the city and purchased tickets on the Majestic Tour with Edinburgh Bus Tours. This gives us 48 hours of unlimited travel (Hop on hop off) on all 4 of their bus tours around the city with admission to Royal Yacht Britannia, Edingurgh Castle and Holyroodhouse Palace and Abbey Ruin all included.
Given that we had again scored a fantastic day with blue skies and sunshine we did a lot of travelling in the open, upstairs on the buses and we toured the Britannia Royal Yatch, decommissioned in the late 90's.
Liz chose the furnishings trying to keep things relaxed.
It may surprise you that the photo above is not Liz and Phillip's quarters, they in fact had separate rooms (but adjoining).

Oce again the weather looks good that's fabulous. Edinburgh had so much to offer and it looks amazing great photos. Tell Rod to smile in the photos ha ha

ReplyDeleteHaving afternoon tea on the poop deck looks great and it's also good to know the tram now runs to the Airport as it wasn't when we were there last and needed to know that it was now doing so as we will be getting it to and from there. Great place isn't it? Do the Royal Mile from the castle and try and do the ghost tour at night as it does all the places under the Royal Mile which have been covered over throughout the years. Stay safe, pouring down here last night, washed most of my driveway down the bottom again and had to shovel it up after attending the dawn service. Cards and booze tonight, can't wait for your next posting. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI just want to let you know that I just check out your site and I find it very interesting and informative..
