We have enjoyed an absolutely fantastic day of driving from Dublin to Cork with blue skies and sunshine highlighting the predominantly green country side. On arriving at tonight's B&B we were equally warmed by the genuine welcome bestowed on us by Avril and Tony, our hosts at Fernroyd House.
We drove through quaint villages, along various parts of coastline, crossed many a bridge and bypassed some towns without stopping unable to find a park. A stop at Waterford included a browse through the famous House of Waterford Crystal.
Dungarvan a coastal town with many pastel -shaded buildings ringing the picturesque bay, was a particular favourite stop, with free parking the icing on the cake.
Tonight's dinner at Oliver Plunkett's pub included our first Guinness. When in Ireland .......

Love your blog it sounds fabulous and the weather seems to be kind so far. Bit of a worry about the lack of parking, we had the same problem in the UK but you get to see more if you can't stop lol
